If you are between 11 and 18 years old and live in the UK, this is your chance to show off your skills and let your imagination run wild!
The 2024 Nominations
This year's nominations have been announced! Thank you to everyone who entered; it was an incredibly hard job to pick out the shortlist when there was such a wide range of ideas, skills and stories.
The nominated films will be screened at the Manchester Animation Festival on Sunday 10th November, where the winners will also be announced - congratulations to all nominees!

WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?
Create
Create an animation using any stop-motion, hand-drawn or computer animation that is no more than three minutes long, using non-copyrighted music.
Upload
Submit your animation film by signing into this website then submitting your details and uploading an MP4 video that is HD in resolution.
Win
Your film will be judged by industry professionals; the winner will be announced at Manchester Animation Festival.

At the Young Animator of the Year UK competition, our mission is to discover and nurture the next generation of talented animators from all backgrounds across the United Kingdom.
We believe that every young person, regardless of their circumstances, should have the opportunity to explore their creativity and unleash their potential in the exciting world of animation.
By providing a platform for students aged 11-18 to showcase their skills in Stop-Motion, 2D, and 3D animation, we aim to raise awareness of the incredible career opportunities available in this world-class industry.
